Oscar Allen Adcock

OXFORD: Oscar Allen Adcock, age 68, died Monday, June 17, 2013. A native of Granville County, he was the son of Margaret Blalock Adcock and the late Oscar Simpson Adcock. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a former member of the Army National Guard and was owner and operator of Adcock's Machine, Welding and Fabrication in the Berea community. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM oneednesday, June 19, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife of 39 years Gwen C. Adcock; sons David A. Adcock Cindy, Kenny R. Cox Patsy all of Oxford. He is also survived by a sister Peggy neell Frank of Warrenton and a granddaughter, Emily Adcock. He was preceded ineeath by a brother Larry N. Adcock and his first wife, Patsy Ellington Adcock. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM in the fellowship hall of the church prior to the service. The Adcock family is being assisted by Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home.
