Ossie Dyson Couch

DURHAM ??? Ossie Dyson Couch, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior oneecember 3, 2018. She is predeceased by her Parents Edgar and Vada Dyson; Husbaneedward H Couch Sr; Sisters Eva Mae Dysoneew, Ruth Dyson Rich, Evelyn Dyson Culbreth aneedna Pearl Dyson. She is survived by two sisters Lois Dyson Culbreth ??? Fayetteville NC and Myrtle Dyson Allegood - Charlotte NC; Three daughters Cheryl Lucker and Janet Brown ??? Durham NC, Susan Taylor (Keith) ??? Hillsborough NC, Two soneed Couch Jr (Bobbie) and Charles Couch - Durham NC; Three granddaughters: Katherine Young (Robert) ???Roanee VA, Susan Oriente (Rob) ??? Long Beach CA, Amanda Couch ??? Durham NC, Two grandsons: Ted Couch ??? Durham NC and Luke Taylor ??? Hillsborough NC and Two great granddaughters Elizabeth Young ???Roanee VA and Addie Oriente ??? Long Beach CA along with several nieces and nephews. Ossie grew up in Bladen County North Carolina and attend school there. In 1945 she moved to Durham NC. She worked at GTE Phone Company and retired after 23 years of service. Also she worked as school patrol crossing guard for Durham Public Schools. Ossie was an active member of Fuller Memorial Presbyterian Church for many years. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was active in the Women???s group. Later Ossie attended Providence Baptist Church for several years. Ossie enjoyed sewing and crafts as well as gardening. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her much happiness. Funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, December 7, 2018 in the chapel at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Markham Memorial Gardens, Durham. Friends may visit from 6:00 ??? 8:00PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
