OXFORD: Pattie Inscoe Yancey, 86 of the Grassy Creek Community died Tuesday, neember 11, 2008 at Brantwood Nursing Center. She is the daughter of the late George Thomas Inscoe and Alice Fitts Inscoe and her late widow of the late Woodrow W. Yancey. She was a loving housewife and devoted member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church until health problems limited her participation. She provided home and hospital care to many individuals who were confined and limited ineelf care. Funeral services will be held Saturday, neember 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. John Armstrong and Rev. Edward Yancey. Burial will follow at the Church cemetery. Mrs. Yancey is survived by two sons, Woodrow Edward Yancey of Swansboro, NC and Joel W. Yancey of Bullock, NC; a brother, Willie F. Inscoe; six grandchildren and nee great grandchildren. Many loving nieces and nephews as well as devoted friends. She was preceded ineeath by a son, Dana Haywood Yancey; six brothers, George E. Inscoe, James F. Inscoe, Otis D. Inscoe, William L. Inscoe, Robert Bob Inscoe, Abner Yourd Inscoe and three sisters, Alice I. Faulkner, Mary I. Currin, and Myrtle I. Bridges. Visitation will be held Friday, neember 14, 2008 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC.
