Paul Howard Smith

Paul H. Smith, 68, formerly of Oxford, NC, went to his eternal home oneednesday, April 15, 2015. He is preceded ineeath by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Faye Burwell Smith and a granddaughter, Leah Avery Porterfield. Mr. Smith is survived by three daughters, Paula S. Sumner of Henderson, NC, Barbara S. McMillian of Spring Lake, NC, and Kathy Smith of Henderson, NC; two brothers, Everett Smith of Keysville, VA and Linn Smith of Chase City, VA; one sister, Rebecca Donovan of Clarksville, VA; six grandchildren, Julia, Aaron, Lauren, Caleb, Josh, and Graeme. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Stovall Memorial Cemetery, Stovall, NC. The family will be gathering at the Sumner home, 1120 Peter Gill Road, Henderson.
