OXFORD: Pauline Thomasson Cheatham, age 91, died December 3, 2012 at her home. She was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late Leo Bartrell and Sadie Averett Thomasson. Pauline was the wife of the late Sherwood Hester Cheatham. Pauline retired from Pine State Creamery ineenderson, NC and was a lifelong member of Peace's Chapel Baptist Church in Kittrell, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday December 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM ineeace's Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Bruce Brooks. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Cheatham and wife Becky of Oxford; daughter, Kay Yancey and husband Marty of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Karman Dubois and husband Chris of New Orleans, LA, Kevin Cheatham and wife Bonee of Henderson, NC, David Yancey and wife Stephanie of Myrtle Beach, SC.; great-grandchildren, Heather Scherer, Rebecca Dubois, Devon Dubois, Christina Walker, Justin Walker, Mia Yancey, Ella Yancey and Lila Yancey; brother, Nelson Thomasson and wife Edna Mae of Oxford, NC. She was preceded ineeath by sisters, Christine Dement and Selma Paschall and brother, Woodrow W. Thomasson. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
