Preston James Winslow

Preston James Winslow, age 4, took his last breath before going to heaven on May 19, 2012, following a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Preston possessed a strength and perseverance for life. Despite difficult, painful treatments, he neer complained and bravely cooperated with whatever he had to face. Preston's courage led us and so many others to understand that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He loved playing with his trucks and trains, watching Justice League and football, painting, joking around, the color green, aneespecially his sisters. We will miss Prestoneearly, and he will forever remain in our hearts. Preston is survived by his loving parents, James and Celeste Winslow of Durham; sisters, Abigail and Stephanie Winslow; paternal grandparents Robert and Bonee Winslow of Margate, Florida, and maternal grandparent Geri Ashley of Endicott, New York; along with many aunts, unees, cousins, friends, doctors and nurses. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Friday at Noon from Immaculate Conception Church, with Fr. Larry Hayes, OFM presiding. The family will receive friends in church Friday from 10-Noon.
