Ralph Frank Ambrosius, 80, of 20 Aldersgate Court, died Saturday morning at Durham Regional Hospital. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late Alfred Gustav and Annette Hurst Ambrosius. During WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Ambrosius was a graduate of the Uneersity of Cincinnati. He retired from Cincinnati Bell, where he was employed in the accounting department. His love of the ocean and fishineencouraged Ralph and his Ruth to move to Kitty Hawk, NC. He is a member of the Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church.
A dear husband, loving father and devoted brother, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Kaplan Ambrosius; two daughters, Jill Lynn Staubitz and husband, Paul of Cincinnati, OH and Kay Anita Wagner and husband, David of Boca Grande, FL; one son, Mark Ralph Ambrosius and his wife, Carol of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, Alfred Walter Ambrosius of Cincinnati, OH and five grandchildren, John Staubitz, David Staubitz and wife Megan, Wendy Ambrosius and Marissa Ambrosius.
Memorial services will be held in the William Preston Few Interfaith Chapel of the Croasdaile Village on Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Officiating will be the Revs. Donovan Drake, Milton Hadley and Denee Waters.
The family will receive friends at the Croasdaile Village following the service.
