Raymond Morrisoneebb, Jr., 92, died peacefully Sunday October 11, 2009 at Croasdaile Village in Durham. A native of Roxboro, he was the son of the late Raymond Morrisoneebb aneella Gertrude O'Briant. Mr. Webb was a dedicated career employee with over 30 years of service with the NC Department of Revenue. He was a long time member of Epworth Uneed Methodist Church. Until moving to Croasdaile Village, Raymond and his wife Marjorie were residents of Hope Valley. He was a current member of the Durham Kiwanis Club with over 30 years of service. Raymond neer met a stranger and was always one to carry on friendly conversations with anyone. He had a kind heart, quick wit aneenjoyed telling a good joke. After his retirement, he enjoyed many couneess hours in his yard at Hope Valley. He was a veteran of the Uneed States Navy and spent several years after discharge staying in touch with his long-time Navy friends at an annual get together in Charleston, S.C. Raymond was preceded ineeath by his loving wife of 62 years, Marjorie Deaneebb; sisters, Frances Webb Ives of Raleigh aneelizabeth Johnson of Durham. He is survived by his sister, Page Webb Saunders of Durham; nephew, Dick Ives and wife Jess; niece Sandra Saunders Coats and husband, Carl of Raleigh; special cousin, Mary Ruth Lester of Durham; great nephew, Greg Ives and wife, Emily of Raleigh; great nieces, Amy C. Butts and husband, Dave of Raleigh and Katherine Coats of Wake Forest. Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 14 at Maplewood Cemetery with the Rev. Milton Hadley presiding. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at Croasdaile Village Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Epworth Uneed Methodist Church, 3002 Hope Valley Road, Durham, NC 27707.
