Robert Thomas Bishop, born on August 20, 1945, in Vermont, passed away on December 28, 2024, in North Carolina. He was a dedicated family man whose quiet determination and straightforward demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Throughout his professional career, Robert worked extensively in the plastics industry, and he spent 20 years at Berkshire Business in Hudson, NY. His commitment to his work was evident, as he approached every task with diligence and precision. A high school graduate, he valued practical knowledge and embraced the challenges of his vocation with a steadfast resolve.
Robert is remembered as a person of few words, yet his actions spoke volumes about his character and values. Family meant everything to him, and his legacy will undoubtedly be carried on by those he loved. He loved to hunt and was always up for a good chase.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Timothy Peter Lapell and Neal Laws Bishop; his daughter, Lorie Ann Lapell; his brother, Lee Lapell; and his grandsons, Thomas Bishop and Michael Lapell.
Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Bishop; and his parents, Harold Bishop and Virginia Turner Bishop.
The burial service for Robert Thomas Bishop will be held on January 9, 2025, at Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford, North Carolina. The ceremony will commence at 2:00 PM, with graveside services following at 3:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.
Robert's life may have been quiet, but its impact resonates strongly within the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
