OXFORD: Mr. Robert L. "Bob" Stewart, age 63, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home. He was the son of the late Harvey Wayland Stewart and Agnes Hall Stewart and a native of Durham, but moved to Raleigh at an early age and grew up there. Mr. Stewart graduated from Needham-Broughton High School in Raleigh in 1965. He attended East Carolina Uneersity and Texarkana College where he received a Nursing Degree. He also, attended the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Flight Nurse and Columbia Pacific Uneersity with Bachelors in Business Administration and Masters in Nursing Administration. Board Certified ineealth Care Maneement by American College of Health Care Executives. He served as a Medevac Officer, U.S. Air Force Reserves-Rank: Major and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Stewart was retired after 30 years of service ineealth care maneement, including Oshner Foundation, New Orleans, Louisiana, Director of Durham Regional Hospital Home Health and Medical Services of America. He was Past Master and a member Oxford Masonic Lodge #122, Past President, Granville County Shrine Club both of Oxford, Member and Treasurer Emeritus, Amran Shriners of Raleigh; York Rite Bodies and Allied Masonic Degrees. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at New Horizons Baptist Church, Sterl Carrington Road, Oxford, NC by Rev. Cam Ford and The Reverend Gary Cline. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, 27612 at 4:00 P.M. Surviving is his wife Helen Brown Stewart of the home; children, Terri Stewart Lowery Chris of Oklahoma City, OK; Ashley Stewart Shine Jamie of Huntsville, AL; Robert Benjamin Stewart Sarah of Austin, TX. Step-children; Robin Brooks Jones Larry of Timberlake, NC and Kathy Brooks Gineead Scott of Rougemont, NC; grandchildren Olivia Stewart, Rebecca Lowery aneemma Kay Shine; Step-grandchildren; Mallory and Connor Clark and Colton and Carly Gineead; a brother, Terry Stewart of Knightdale, NC; niece, Stacy Stewart and nephew, Gregory Stewart. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 14 at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M.and at other times at the home.
