Robert Edgar Havener

Mr. Robert Edgar Havener, 83, of Pittsboro Christian Village, died January 16, 2008 at Chapel Hill Health and Rehabilitationeenter. Mr. Havener was borneeptember 7, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA to Marion E. and Martha Irene Swoger Havener. He was a member of Pittsboro Christian Assembly, and was a retired sales and marketing representative for the coal mining industry. Survivors include his wife, Ann Hoekstra Havener; son, Ronald Havener of Davidson; daughters, Patricia McClelland of MA, Linda Duncan of CT, and Nancy Ware of AZ; 10 grandchildren; brothers, William Havener of PA and Richard Havener of OH; sisters-in-law, Tillie Carrick of MI and Frances LaBue of CO. The service to celebrate Mr. Havener's life will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the Chapel of Pittsboro Christian Village, with interment to follow in Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 - 10:15 am Saturday in the parlor of Pittsboro Christian Village.
