Robert Edward Wertz

Robert Edward Wertz, age 80, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at Durham Regional Hospital. Bob was born oneeptember 6, 1928 in Sayre, PA to the late Stephen and Lucy Hawley Wertz. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who proudly served his country during WWII. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in northern Durham. Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg" Wertz of Durham; three daughters: Ann C. May of King Ferry, NY; Barbara L. Ross of Durham; Margaret "Peggy" P. Bauman of Cortland, NY; his brother, Keneertz of Eneell, NY; and nee grandchildren. Bob was preceded ineeath by his daughter, Mary Kathleen Campbell. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 2, 2008 from St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Robert Diegelman presiding.
