Robert Eugene Lang II, 61, of Oxford, NC, passed away on 9/10/2022 from a long battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Lang and Barbara Lang. He left behind his daughter, Shyla Lang and grandson Lukas, best friend Linda Westcott, nieces Rebecca Tuthill, Rachel Lang, Katelyn Lang, nephew Jacob Lang, and his dog Scooter.

How do you try to describe the man that was Rob/Robbie/Dad/Pop Pop? It’s difficult because he meant so much to so many for different reasons. He was complicated in the best of ways. He was smart, dedicated, witty, stubborn, kind, and a perfectionist in things he was passionate about. He never went to college but likely knew more than most history professors. He was always willing to learn, listen, and teach. He had so much more he wanted to do but he had already lived a life full of many amazing experiences and met many amazing people. When you mean so much to so many as he did it's hard to think you can live in a world without him. Yet his legacy will live on through everyone important to him in memories and wisdom he bestowed upon us.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made in Robert’s memory in honor of Eric Osborne to the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Association.
