Robert Ian Savoy, 34, of Durham, NC died unexpectedly Thursday, May 9, 2019. ??He was born in Wake County on August 25, 1984 to Keith Michael Savoy and Marie Jane Mullis Savoy. Ian was a Network Systems Analyst and worked in the field of Informationeechnology. ??Ian was a loving son and neer met a stranger. ??He??enjoyed helping??other people. ??He loved his family and treasured moments with his two daughters, ??earth angels, ages 13 and 8. ??He was a very creative cook, a great gardener, very mechanical, enjoyed old movies and music. ??He liked to be outdoors, go fishing and camping. ??He was kind to animals and loved his dog. ??He was very curious aneenthusiastic about life. He will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents, Ian is also survived by his daughters, Eliza Jeanne Warner and Stella Howell Warner both of OH; his unee, James Onis Mullis and wife, Elizabeth Smyly Mullis; and their childreneemily Catherine Mullis, and Jeffery Thomas Mullis, (UT); and Ian???s aunt, Myra Jim Mullis Edens and husband, Stephen James Edens (RI); and their children, Matthew Brandon Edens (CA), Jeremy Michael Edens (RI) and Carrie Elizabeth Edens Usmar,(RI). ??Ian is also survived by many other lovineextended family members and friends. ??Ian is predeceased by his unees, Stephen Timothy Savoy; and Jeffrey Monee Mullis. Ian???s paternal grandparents were Hilbert Joseph Savoie of Boutte, Louisiana and Mary Joyce Broussard of Rayne, Louisiana where Keith was born.????His step-grandfather was Dr. Robert Long of Statesville, NC.????Ian???s maternal grandparents were James Onis Mullis, Sr aneedna Marie Wright of Charlotte, NC.????All five predeceased Ian. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 12:00 pm from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Durham 2nd Ward, 3902 Berini Dr. Durham, NC. ??The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Church. ??A private cremationeeremony was previously held at the Hall-Wynne Crematory. ??Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill,??NC, where Ian will be placed to rest beside his maternal grandparents, James O. Mullis aneedna M. Mullis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ian???s nee to the nonprofit recovery center TROSA.??
