Robert L. Fustine, age 61, of Durham NC, passed away on January 22, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Born June 2, 1962, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Henry and Kathryn Fustine of Brockway, PA.On December 1,1984, Bob married Annette Neal who survives.
Bob worked as the Facilities Manager at the Duke Faculty Club in Durham, NC maintaining the facilities and grounds through many changes over the past 13 1/2 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Durham, NC, and was a former member of St. Tobias Church, Brockway, PA. Bob was also a Knights of Columbus 4th-degree member in both Brockway, PA, and Durham, NC. Bob, an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed many activities including camping, summer beach vacations with family and friends, home remodeling projects, and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Lauren (Chris) Stallings of Queen Creek, AZ; Matthew (Sarah) Fustine of Overland Park, KS; and Lisa (Michael) Schmidt of Enola, PA. Bob has nine grandchildren: Hunter and Archer Stallings; Caleb, Lily, Arianna, (and Grandson Robert "Robbie" on the way) Fustine; Landon, Tenley, and Brooks Schmidt. He is survived by Riley (four paws). Bob's surviving siblings include one brother and four sisters: Karen (Dennis) May, Janice (David) Inzana, both of Brockway; Dennis (Jeanne) Fustine of Brockport, PA; Joanne (Craig) Gahr of Kersey, PA; and Dolores (Marshall) Wolfe of St. Mary's, PA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Visitation will be at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service at 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 1 pm- 3 pm. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, PA, on Friday, February 2nd at 11:00 am. The family will receive visitors in Mother’s Chapel beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Tobias Cemetery.
