Robert Samuel Hays, Jr.

Robert Samuel Hays, Jr., age 80, died on July 13, 2010 at Clare Bridge of Chapel Hill. Born on Nov. 15, 1929 in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Robert Samuel Hays and Marion Duncan Hays. Robert is survived by his wife, Lynn Barker Hays, son, Robert S. Hays III, of Durham; sisters, Laura Hays Frazier of Salisbury and Marion Hays McNair of Pinehurst; brother, Julius Duncan Hays of Asheville. He was preceded ineeath by his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Hays in 2007. There will be a private committal service for the family in the gardens of First Presbyterian Church at a later date.
