Rose Crumpton Gregory

Rose "Rollie" Crumpton Gregory, 89, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Durham Regional Hospital. Borneebruary 22, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William Robert Crumpton and Ruth Harris Crumpton and wife of the late Bernard "Bub" Cortez Gregory. Mrs. Gregory was a member of Yates Baptist Church. Her love of childreneed to her involvement in the Parents Morning Out PMO program at Duke Memorial Uneed Methodist Church for 18 years. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed visiting with friends, shopping aneeating out. Surviving are her Daughter Pamela Elaine Gregory; a nephew Tommy Monk and wife Carol of Roxboro; and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marian C. Monk & Elaine Crumpton and brothers, W.R. "Bill" Crumpton and George B. Crumpton. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Yates Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Gordon and the Rev. John Frederick officiating. Viewing will be held at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the service. After the service, the family will receive friends at a light reception at the church followed by a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery.
