Roxy Buxton Sheldon

Roxy Buxton Sheldon died at home after a long battle with Alzheimer???s at the age of 86. She was born in Evansville, Wisconsin to Hillis and Marcela Buxton. She retired from Thomas Knight and Trenton King CPA firm in Durham after 30 years and was very active with Hillandale Sports Association. Roxy was a life-long Duke fan and worked many of the games in concessions sales. Roxy is survived by; Matthew Lynde Sheldon of Pittsboro, NC; daughter, Darcy Brewer of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Jonathan Sheldon of Roxboro, NC, Robert Brewer of Durham, and Bailey Phillips, Liberty, NC; and great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Sheldoneextended family Eric Brewer of Durham, Bruce Phillips of Liberty, and Laura Hansen of Stem, NC. A memorial service will be held at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Durham, NC on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1 pm. A private inurnment will be at a later date.
