Ruby Goodwin Green died on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Ruby was born in Chatham County, NC to the late Charlie and Margaret Marks Goodwin on October 16, 1928. Ruby was a loving mother and grandmother and a longtime member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church. Ruby has resided at Plantation Estates in Matthews, NC for the past teneears. Ruby is survived by her daughter Cathy BarefootEddie of Matthews, NC; son Charles Greeneeryl of Chester, VA; sisters Frances Riley of Durham, NC, Betty McBroom of Durham, NC; Becky Boykin of Rocky Mount, NC; Grandchildren Brandon BarefootLeslie, Ashley Barefoot, Chelsea Barefoot, Amanda StanleyLance, Melanie Green and Kelsey Green. Ruby is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband of 49 years Hubert "Jack" Green, brother Rudolph Goodwin and sister Jeaneeisner. A graveside service will be offered 12:00nooneednesday, February 15, 2012 from Maplewood Cemetery, 1621 Duke Uneersity Road Durham, NC 27701 with Rev. C.F. Boykin, presiding. Friends may visit from 6:00 8:00 on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ruby's nee may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at 4819 Park Road Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209.
