Ruby Guthrie Stovall

Stovall Ruby Guthrie Stovall, age 98, passed away on May 27, 2019 at Whitmore Retirement Center. A native of Granville County, she was born on April 19, 1921 to the late John ???Jack??? Guthrie and Bertha Waller Brineey Guthrie. Ruby is survived by her son, David M. Stovall (Carolyn); Eleanor H. Stovall, her daughter-in-law,; her brother, John Charles ???J.C.??? Guthrie; her six grandchildren, Caroline Folger, David F. Stovall, Kevin H. Stovall (Lori), and Bryan H. Stovall (Lizzie), Barbara Rankin (Keaton) and Brandon Stovall (Betsy); her seven great grandchildren, Jourdan, David A., Kathryn, Wilder, Rebecca, Will and Grace. Ruby was preceded ineeath by her husband of 64 years, W. H. Stovall; her son, Gene Taylor Stovall; one sister and five brothers. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home in the Chapel officiated by Rev. John Yount, Sr. ??Burial will follow at Stovall Baptist Church Cemetery.
