Mrs. Ruby Lois Rives Bouldin, 85, of US 64 Business West, Pittsboro, died September 24, 2009 at Chatham Hospital in Siler City. Mrs. Bouldin was born in Chatham County on July 16, 1924 to Kenneth G. Rives and Lois Gilmore Rives Poe. She was a graduate of Bonee High School and attended Louisburg College. Mrs. Bouldin was a homemaker, but also worked a number of years in the Chatham County Sheriff's Department, the Chatham County Superintendent's office, and at Pittsboro Builders Supply. She was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Arthur C. Bouldin; daughter, Joan B. Luellen and husband Mark, of Sanford; sons, Kenneth D. Bouldin and wife Barbara, of West End, James A. Bouldin and wife Dianne, of Pittsboro; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandsons; and brothers, K. Gerald Rives, William E. Rives, and Wilbur A. Rives, all of Siler City, Donald E. Rives of Florida. The funeral service for Mrs. Bouldin will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Emmaus Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Moore presiding. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 2:45 pm Sunday in the church fellowship hall.
