Ruth Ella Angle

Ruth Ella Simmons Angle, age 90, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Universal Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late Keeley Elmer Simmons and Stacey Simmons.  Ruth was born in Guilford County on May 1, 1932. 

Ruth was a loving sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother

Ruth is survived by her children, Gail Angle, Kevin (Adrianna) Angle, Julie (Brian) Price and Jonathan Angle; and her brother, Larry (Emily) Simmons. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Suzanne (Stewart) Wells, Alan Denny, Sam Angle, Madeline Angle, Clay Price and Riley Price and her beloved great grandchildren, Gavin and Vera Wells.   She will be missed by her nieces, Laura Bunn and Beverly Simmons-Howarth and her great nieces, Stewart and Mary Helen Hulsey and Sloan Howarth. Ruth will be missed by many extended family and friends too numerous to name.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Gary H. Angle; and her eldest son, Samuel Gary Angle.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Gentry Newell & Vaughan in the Chapel. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the caretakers at Universal Health Care in Oxford, NC.
