Ruth M. Waiden

Ruth M. Waiden, age 89, was promoted to glory to be with God oneednesday morning, August 6, 2008. Mrs. Waiden was born in Franklin County to the late Felix and Bessie Edwards May on neember 14, 1918. Mrs. Waiden was the retired owner of City Lunch Caf and a longtime member of Franklinton Baptist Church. Loved by all who knew her for her caring heart, Mrs. Waiden will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and her beloved cat, Fonzarelli. Mrs. Waiden is survived by her sons: Clyde L. Waiden, Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Franklinton; Gene Waiden and wife, Linda, of Youngsville; five grandchildreneeight great grandchildren; special friends, Nancy Price and Pearl Ellington; and caregivers, Charles and Teresa Horton. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Clyde L. Waiden, Sr. and her daughter, Olivia Fay Timberlake. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 9, 2008, from Franklinton Baptist Church with her son, Rev. Clyde L. Waiden, Jr. and Rev. David Averette presiding. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM at Franklin Funeral Service, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton.
