Durham ??? Mrs. Sandra Perillo, 85, died Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Perillo was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, NY to the late Antonio DiSclafani and Gemma Olori. She was educated in the New York public schools. For many years she was employed as a clerk in the media center of her local elementary school. She loved books and passed a passion for reading on to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Perillo was known for her quick wit, easy smile and her famous Italian gravy. She was an avid bowler, and a communicant of St. Matthew???s Catholic Church. Mrs. Perillo is survived by her partner of 16 years, Aneew Jones, of Durham; son, William R. Perillo, III, and his wife, Michelle, of Conway, SC; daughter, Lorraine Perillo Werts, and her husband, Jim, of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Amie Sloane, and her husband, Dr. Slade Suchecki , Michelle Arrington, and her husband, Billy, Adrienne McEnee, Christine Sloane, and her wife, Renee Pickard, Alexandra Perillo; great grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony, Claudia, Kayla, Domenik, aneeverett, and her great great granddaughter, Vivian. Mrs. Perillo was preceded ineeath by her husband of 49 years, William R. Perillo, Jr., her son, Anthony M. Perillo, and her sisters, Francis Petrone, Anna Carrozza, Minee Sasso, Josephine Porcelli and her brother, Dr. Peter DiSclafani. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, neember 14, 2016, at 11:00am in St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1001 Mason Road, Durham, NC 27713, Father Thanh N. Nguyen presiding. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. ??? 11:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Duke HomeCare and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive #101, Durham, North Carolina 27704.
