Santos Dime Ocampo

Santos Ocampo, age 88, died on May 3, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1934 in Sinaliw, Alphonso, Cavite, Philippines to the late Domingo Sembrano and Florencia Dime Ocampo.

Santos was a very loyal, caring, and charitable man who deeply loved his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, freemason, basketball player in his youth, and an entrepreneur who donated much of his time and resources to different organizations close to his heart. Always available to give advice and support, he was deeply loved by all in the community.

After immigrating to the U.S., he earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. He was an industrious, loyal, and integral employee and had a distinguished career working at Nortel from where he retired in 1998.

Santos is survived by his wife Rosario, sons Edwin and Joel, daughter-in-law Avelita, and grandchildren Arielle, Andrew and Megan, and Timothy. Santos was preceded in death by his brother Rolando.

Mass services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Durham on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11 AM, and a viewing will be held at 10:30 AM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Medical Mission or his hometown church in Sinaliw, Cavite.
