Shirley Babb Clark

Mrs. Shirley Babb Clark, 74, of Business US 64 East in Pittsboro, died December 22, 2010 at Wake Med Cary. A native of Deep Creek, VA, Shirley was born August 23, 1936, the daughter of Hiltoneernard Babb aneesther Pyland Babb. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was truly a "people person", a trait that was exhibited through her work as a server for fourteeneears at Macgregor Downs Country Club in Cary. Shirley also loved nature and animals she enjoyed feeding both the birds and the deer that were frequent visitors around her house. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home and taking care of their dog and two cats. Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Billy Goodman Clark; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Mark Wineead of Cary and Melody and Lynn McCall of Holdeneeach; sons, Billy "BC" Clark aneeddie Clark, both of Pittsboro; and six grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Shirley Clark will be conducted by the Reverend Ray Gooch at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
