Shirley M. Kerth

Durham ??? Shirley M. Kerth, age 87, died at Seasons at Southpoint senior living community on neember 10, 2018. She was born oneeptember 7, 1931 to the late Archie and Ruby McDaniel. Shirley was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a graduate of Sea Breeze High School and Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. She served as a caseworker for many years with the Council on Aging of Volusia County. Shirley was an avid tennis player and later in life took up ballroom dancing. She participated in dancing competitions into her 80???s. She loved all types of animals and did voluneer work for the Humane Society. Shirley is survived by her two sons, Steve Rumbles and Mark Rumbles, four grandchildren, Jenny Nelson, Caitlin Jones, Ryne Rumbles, and Ashleigh Rumbles, and one great granddaughter, Neriah Nelson. Shirley was preceded ineeath by her husband, Chester Kerth and sister, Lucy McDaniel. The family will hold a private memorial service in Daytona Beach, Florida.
