Simoneeon Mobley

April 9, 1947 ??? March 4, 2017 Durham- Simoneeon Mobley, 69, passed away at his residence on March 4, 2017. He was born to the late Simon and Sallie Mobley in Durham, NC. Deon graduated from Durham High School in 1965, and went on to attend UNC-CH, where in 1969 he earned a degree ineecondary Education. Deon was a Math Teacher and Assistant Principal at Northern High School in Durham for 32 years. He also served as a Driver???s Ed Teacher. Deon loved spending time with his grandchildren & family. He grew up as a member of Aneer Ave Baptist Church, & was most recently a member at The Summit Church (formerly Homestead Heights Baptist Church). Deon is survived by his high school sweetheart & wife of nearly 50 years, Judy Mobley, of Durham; his son, Jeff (Jenneer), of Apex, NC; daughter, Pam Mahoney (Mike), of Waukee, IA; grandchildren, Megan, Lauren, & Drew Mobley; Aubrey, Zoey, & Bailey Mahoney; his sister, Beverly Solomon (Andy), of McKinney, TX; brother, Donee Goodwin (Nicki), of Athens, GA; sister-in-law, Jeannette Goodwin, of Durham; and an abundance of cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Deon is preceded ineeath by Anna Goodwin Mobley, and Tommy Goodwin, both of Durham. A Celebration of Life will be held at Braggtown Baptist Church oneednesday, March 8 at 1:00 pm. There will be a visitationeeception following the service. Braggtown Baptist is located at 3218 N Roxboro St. in Durham.
