Susan Carol Brooks

Susan Carol Brooks, 64, of Oxford died on July 4, 2017. She was a native of Granville County and the daughter of the late Willie James and Doris Hart Brooks. Susan was a lifelong member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church where she greatly enjoyed being a member of their Bible Study Group. The family would like to thank this group for their faithful support of Susan through good times and bad. Susan was a graduate of J. F. Webb High School and was retired from Lenox China, where she maintained a perfect attendance record for the 10+ years of her employment. Susan was a great cook and through her talents in this regard she has provided much comfort and joy to those she loved. Susan is survived by her aunts, Judy (Buddy) Blackwell of Oxford, Suzanne Hart of Durham, and Barbara Hart of Durham. She is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family, and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 2579 Old Watkins Rd., Oxford, NC 27565 or Community Home Care and Hospice, 152 Zeb Robinson Rd., Henderson, NC 27537. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior to the service at the church.
