Taylor Junior Laws

Oxford Taylor J. Laws age 85 of 7280 Goshen Road died Sunday March 8, 2009 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Granville Co., he was the son of the late Robert M.and Lelia Adcock Laws. A retired farmer and was retired from Murdoch Center. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P M Wednesday March 11, 2009 from Sharon Baptist Church by the Rev. Billy Lynch, Rev. Mark Vaughan, Rev. James C. Shelley, Jr. and Rev. Bob Baynard. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Critcher Laws, of the home; three daughters, Sarah Jean L. Vaughan, of Blacksburg, Va., Nancy L. Roberson, of Wake Forest, NC and Norma L. Moore, of Butner, NC. One son, Albert Taylor Laws, of Oxford NC.; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded ineeath by one daughter, Catherine Annette Laws, three sister, Ruth L. Critcher, Elizabeth L. Yarborough and Hazel L. Yarborough and four brothers, Alvin Laws, James Laws, Ben Laws and Frank Laws. Flowers are accepted or memorial may be made to: Sharon Baptist Church, 8746 Goshen Rd., Oxford NC 27565. Visitation for the family will be from 7 to 8:30 PM on Tuesday at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford NC and at other times at the home.
