Theresa Drozd Stanion

BURLINGTON- Theresa Drozd Stanion, 77, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Theresa was born ineersey City, NJ and raised in Bayonne, NJ, graduating from Bayonne High School in 1956. She earned her BA in English from Notre Dame College of Staten Island in 1960 and her MA from SUNY New Paltz in 1971. Theresa had a long career in government, serving four terms as a state legislator ineermont and working as a staffer for Senator Jim Jeffords and lobbyist for the ICIA. She taught English in high school and community college. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Robert P. Stanion. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Flemings and husband, Robert of Durham; her sons, Ted Stanion and wife, Adrienne Greaves of Portland, OR and Tim Stanion and wife, Courtney of Durham; her sister, Barbara Griggs of Point Pleasant, NJ and her grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, and Addyson Bara and Sydney, Kyler, Austin, aneemma Stanion.
