Oxford Thomas Woody Gill, Sr., 77, of 4057 Rockwell Road, Oxford, NC passed away on Tuesday morning October 28, 2008. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed. Born July 18, 1931 at the family home in Stovall, NC to the late Henry Thomas Gill and Anee Leigh Woody Gill, he was a tobacco farmer and a life-long resident of Stovall. Mr. Gill was a member of the Oxford Uneed Methodist Church, a member of the Henry F. Grainger Lodge #412 A.F. & A.M. and a Shriner. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Gentry, neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford, NC by the Rev. Pat Hawkins and the Rev. John Yount. The family will receive visitors at the home and immediately after the service. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeaneeargin Gill, a son, Thomas Woody Gill, Jr. Zana of Stephenville, TX, a daughter Carolyn Colcleasure Ronee of Comanee, TX, granddaughters Jeana Keeton Currin Matthew, Jenna Leah Johnston of Comanee, TX, Jacey Kay Gill of Stephenville, TX and great-granddaughter Jackie Love Keith of Comanee, TX. He was preceded ineeath by a brother Henry Franklin Gill and sisters Mary Shepard Mulder aneelwyna Jones. Final resting place will be Salem Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery.
