Timothy Joe Leonard

Timothy Joe Leonard, age 58 and a resident of Franklinton, died September 19, 2010. He was born in Wake County to the late Douglas Nelson and Lena Mae Dickersoneeonard oneebruary 11, 1952. He raneeonard's Men Shop with his father and brother for 11years and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance for 23 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an honorable and great man who loved his family. He was a hard worker, a diligent provider, and had a funny sense of humor. He knew no stranger and would help anyone ineeed. We will miss our father dearly and are comforted by memories of his passion for fishing, Red Bud cabin trips, family stories, and always wanting to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his weekly date night with his daughters and watching them play ball. You will always stay in our memories and our hearts Dad. We love you!! Tim is survived by his five loving children: Gail Lineey, Kevin Lineey and wife, Amy; Laurie Lineey, Casey Butner and husband, Dexter; aneelizabeth Leonard, all of Winston-Salem, NC; his brother, Steve Leonard and wife, Mary, of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren: Ashley, Austin and Silas; three great-grandchildren; his former wife, Vicki Leonard of Winston-Salem; and a very special and devoted life-long friend, Anethia Collins of Franklinton, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 24, 2010, at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. in Franklinton. The Reverend Clyde Waiden will officiate and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 PM, and other times at the home of Anethia Collins, 1208 E. Green St. in Franklinton. Flowers are acceptable.
