Vann Tingen Ellington

OXFORD: Vann Tingen Ellington, age 88, died May 21, 2014 in Uneersal Health Care in Oxford. She was a native of Franklin Co. and was the daughter of the late Hubert T. and Betty Vann Holmes Ellington. Vann was of the Baptist faith and retired from Westinghouse. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday June 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Fairview cemetery in Franklinton by the Rev. Gary Vassar. Surviving are, a daughter, Carolyn E. Wilson of Oxford; sons, Tommy Ellington of Rocky Mt., Michael Ellington of Henderson and Robert Ellington of Roseville; niece, Barbara Ellington of Oxford; nee grandchildren aneeleven great grandchildren. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Granville Co. Animal Shelter, 5650 Cornwall Rd., Oxford, NC 27565. The Ellington family is under the care of Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home.
