Mrs. Virginia Guill Nichols, 93, resident of 2828 Nation Avenue, died Friday morning in Duke Medical Center. Mrs. Nichols was born in Halifax County, VA and was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Guill and Pearl Meeler Guill. She moved to Durham in 1930 from South Boston, VA. Mrs. Nichols was employed with the Liggett & Meyers Tobacco Company for 42 years, prior to retirement. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother aneenjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing meals with family aneenjoyed cooking for them. Mrs. Nichols was a member of the Lakewood Uneed Methodist Church. Mrs. Nichols was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Jack B. Nichols and her sister, Willie Guill Harris. Surviving are her son, Paul T. Edwards and wife, Diane both of Durham; her daughter, Carolyn N. LeTrent and her husband Tony both of Charlotte and three grandchildren, Amanda Edwards, Thomas LeTrent and Sarah LeTrent. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday in Woodlawneemorial Park. The Rev. James Malloy, Jr. will preside. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable or memorials in Mrs. Nichols
