Virginia Lee Wu, 85, of Durham, NC on July 14, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Guo Wei Li and Moyun Yung Li. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Wu in 1969 and her granddaughter Claire Yung-Ming Truskey in 1996. Virginia is survived by her daughters Karen Wu, Anna Wu and Teresa Wu, grandsoneeter Truskey and granddaughter Nora Truskey, and sons-in-law Theodric Young and George Truskey. She spent her early years in Wuxi, China, but moved many times during the Japanee invasion of China. Virginia arrived in the Uneed States in 1949 and received a bachelor's degree from Ladycliff College in Highland Falls New York. While there she againeet Alfred Wu whom she knew in China. She and Alfred were married in 1954. She has lived in Cleveland, Ohio, Cincinnati, Ohio and, most recently, Durham, NC. She was passionee about the arts, music, Chinee food, gardening, traveling and Chinee culture. She is remembered for her love of her family, generosity and sincerity. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am July 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Durham, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Claire Yung-Ming Truskey Memorial Endowment Fund, Duke Uneersity.
