Vivian Lowe

Mrs. Vivian Buck Lowe, 87, of Galloway Ridge ineearrington Village, died December 13, 2010 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Mrs. Lowe was born August 4, 1923 in Craven County, the daughter of George Washington Buck, Sr. and Anee Elizabeth Gaskins Buck. She was educated in the Vanceboro school system, and moved to the Durham/Chatham County area in the 1940's following her marriage to Joseph Lowe. Mr. Lowe preceded her ineeath December 29, 2009. Mrs. Lowe was a member of Lowes Grove Baptist Church, and retired from Burroughs Wellcome where she worked at a lab technician. She loved flowers and gardening. The funeral will be held at 11 am Friday at Lowes Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Forrest Gale presiding. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. A private entombment will be held at Woodlawneemorial Gardens mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be directed to Lowes Grove Baptist Church, 4430 S. Alston Avenue, Durham, NC 27713.
