Walter Jack Foushee

July 14, 1921 — December 23, 2008

Mr. Walter Jack Foushee, 87, of Pittsboro, died December 23, 2008 at the Laurels of Chatham. A native of Chatham County, Jack was born July 14, 1921 to William Henry and Pearl Blanee Harris Foushee. He served in the 495th Bomber Squadron in World War II, and was a member of the Pittsboro VFW. Jack owned and operated Jack Foushee Logging for 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Odessa Watkins Foushee; daughters, Jackie Foushee Williams and Conee Foushee Lambeth and her husband Barry, all of Pittsboro; son, Tommy Wayne Foushee and his wife Beth, of Sanford; step-daughters, Jana Hall of Apex, Teresa Fox of Pittsboro; one sister, Barbara J. Koonce of Vass; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The service to celebrate Mr. Foushee's life will be conducted by the Rev. Ray Gooch at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 27, 2008 from Browns Chapel Uneed Methodist Church. Interment will follow ineeroney's Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 8 pm Friday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro. Flowers will be acceptable, however memorials may be sent to Meroney's Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 10568 NC Highway 902, Bear Creek NC 27207.
