Wanda Jean Cook

Wanda Jean Cook, age 84, died peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2016. A Durham native, Wanda was one of eleven children born to the late Jasper and Hazel Cheek Adams on June 23, 1932. She was a long-time member of Gorman Baptist Church and a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. Wanda retired from Galion Community Hospital in Galion, OH. Wanda is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis Hunsuckle and husband, Gregory, of Creedmoor, NC; and Janet Behe of Durham, NC; three sisters, Dorothy Adams, Joan Dixon and Nancy Woods, all of Durham; two brothers, Marvin Adams and wife, Eleanor; and Felton Adams and wife, Carolyn, also of Durham; five grandchildren, Brian Taylor, Amy Behe, Brad Behe, Christopher Cook and Matthew Cook; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded ineeath by her husband, Robert M. Cook, Sr., her son, Robert M. Cook, Jr., her sister, Betty Ertell; and four brothers, Julian Adams, Arthur Adams, Ronald Adams and Philip Adams. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Gorman Baptist Church with Reverend Craig Phelps presiding. Burial will follow in Lowe???s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service and other times at her sister, Joan Dixon???s residence.
