William Goodman Waller

William Goodman Waller passed away oneebruary 8, 2017 at Duke Hospice. He was 91. Mr. Waller was born on June 13, 1925 in the town of Northside, in Granville County, NC. He moved with his parents to Durham County in 1942, graduated from Hope Valley High School in 1944, theneerved in the Merchant Marines during World War II. ??Following the war, he returned to Durham, where he was a life-long farmer and sales maneer at Liberty Tobacco Warehouse. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 57 years, Helen Plyler Waller. He is survived by his brother, James W. Waller of Durham, his son, Mark Waller (Pam) of Durham, and his daughter, Karen Waller, of Alexandria, Virginia. The family will receive visitors at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday, February 10, 2017. The funeral service will be held at the Hall-Wynne Chapel at 10am on Saturday, February 11, 2017??with the Rev. Jimmy Bland officiating.
