William Ray Arthurs

Mr. William Ray Arthurs, age 90, of Pittsboro, NC died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at his home. He was born in Iredell County, NC on January 1, 1925 to the late Gurney Floyd Arthurs and Vera Mae Karriker. Mr. Arthurs is preceded ineeath by his wife Gladys Walker Arthurs; two sisters, Margaret Goodwin and Nancy Griffin, two brothers; Jimmy Arthurs and Ralph ???Brownie??? Arthurs, and a son-in-law James L. McCormick. Mr. Arthurs is survived by two daughters; Pamela Arthurs McCormick of Franklin, TN, Jill Arthurs Kutsch and husband Mick of Pittsboro, NC; one sister Elizabeth Arthurs Hoyle of Elon, NC; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pittsboro Uneed Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Alexander and Rev. Ray Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Jeremiah Retreat.
