Mrs. Willie Lee Butler, 85, of Pittsboro, died June 9, 2012 at Siler City Health and Rehab. Mrs. Butler was born January 21, 1927 in Durham; she lived in Virginia and New Jersey before moving to Pittsboro. In Pittsboro she met and married Sherman Lois Butler, and together they raised three boys. Mrs. Butler worked as a nurse for many years and her husband operated a dairy farm. Mrs. Butler was a Christian who was always thankful for God's blessings ineer life. She was a great mother to her sons. She loved her family, friends and visiting the mountains of NC. When she was in good health, she loved to cook for her family she prepared wonderful meals for Sunday Dinner, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Mary Butler of Pittsboro, Forrester and Sue Butler of Greensboro, Nelson and Tracie Butler of Pittsboro; granddaughters, Kim Clark of Greenville, SC, Jenneer Blunk of Greensboro. Her husband, Sherman Lois Butler, and two siblings preceded her ineeath. The funeral service for Mrs. Butler will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, June 12, 2012 from Emmaus Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve Moore presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6 8 pm Monday at Hall - Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro.
