Mrs. Wilma Gray Burns Hearn, 85, died February 7, 2013 at the Laurels of Chatham. Mrs. Hearn was born August 7, 1927 in Chatham County, the daughter of Garland Burns and Kate Brown Burns. Mrs. Hearn was a homemaker, but had also worked at UNC Hospital; as well as providing home health care. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Long of Chatham County, Stanley Richard Long of Garner, and Johnny Alleneearn of Durham; her daughters, Cindy Gray Hearn Wadsworth of Manhattan, KS, and Garleeneenee Hearn of Jacksonville, FL; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hearn was preceded ineeath by her parents; brothers, Graham Garfield Burns, Clayton Brown Burns, and David Dodson Burns; sister, Hazel Burns Farrell; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The service to celebrate Mrs. Hearn's life will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, February 10, 2013 at Gum Springs Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
