Wineed Leroy Mann

Dateline: Pittsboro Deceased: Wineed Leroy Mann Surrounded by his family at his home, Wineed Leroy Mann, 79, peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2009. The son of Edna Mann and the late Seaton Mann, Wineed was born on October 23, 1929 in Chatham County. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Foy R. Mann; and children, Bertha M. Smith and husband Arthur, David W. Mann and wife Donna, Patricia L. Mann, Amy M. Meacham and husband Wayne, and Donald L. Mann and wife Tammy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chad Smith, David Smith and wife Wynsor, Deanna Watts and husband Garry, Logan and Simone Baker, and Rachel Watts; Amanda, Brittany, Cody, and Dylan Manneemily and Alex Youngman. In addition Wineed and his wife Foy have "adopted" many others over the years. Wineed enjoyed a 43 year career at Chatham Mills, retiring in 1992. He was an active and loyal member of Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ in Pittsboro, having served as a trustee and a member of various church committees The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 9 pm at Hall Wynne Funeral Home, Griffin Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday at Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ with the Rev. Bob Wachs and Rev. Ray Gooch officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
